BENEFIT PERFORMANCES FOR MKM CULTURAL ARTS CENTER AND THE MARTIN DANCERS TO START ON FRIDAY OCTOBER 15TH 7:00 & 9:00 pm at the MKM CULTURAL ARTS CENTER 11401 NORTH CHANDLER BLVD, NORTH HOLLYWOOD CA 91601 
CONCERT THEME - ECLECTATIONS NORTH HOLLYWOOD, CALIFORNIA, ON FRIDAY, OCTOBER 15, 2010 AT 7:00 PM, Second Show 9:00 pm The Martin Dancers (MD), a non-profit organization, presents their first annual fundraiser concert series performing two sets each night starting Friday, October 15, 2010, at 7:00 pm, AND 9:00 pm. Saturday, October 16, 2010, time is the same. Reservations required. Donation $35, and $40 at the door. This series is ongoing and its theme is "ECLECTATIONS" MKM Cutural Arts Center, LLC, 11401 North Chandler Boulevard, North Hollywood, CA 91601, 1(818) 752-2616. Please call for reservations. This concert contains original new works choreographed by Martin and original musical scores performed by musicians: Roosevelt, Mike and Steve, Percussionists; Greg, Guitarist;Gerald, Flute and Piano. The concert combines dance and world music (funk, rock, blues, Rumba, African). The concert presents guest artists "Black on Black - The Environmental Rhythms Ensemble" featuring the internationally known "Big Black", Virtuoso Master Congoist playing Tumbas and Congos; Dale Black, Bassist; Zane Musa, Alto Sax; Paul Allen, Drummer; Randy Gloss, Percussionist and a surprise keyboard player ! Monetary support will help the MD's staff continue providing FREE structured, well-rounded programs. These art enrichment activities for students could possibly fill a void currently lacking in most school and park systems; as well as enhancing individual self-esteem and creativity. The MD mission is to work through the North Hollywood community to reach culturally and socially deprived students to heighten their cultural appreciation, awareness and understanding of unique art forms expressed from the inside out through music and dance.
